Struggles & Successes

I really want to work out! I want to go get on the stair climber or elliptical and sweat off some calories! (Zumba is great, but its still difficult to do every day with kids.)The problem: My JOB is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year!  Our YMCA doesn't offer day care, so there just isn't an EASY solution to take an hour to work out.  Plus- even if I did have someone to watch the kids- I am obsessed with routine, so if I plan on working out Monday- Friday @ 9am and day care (or whoever) can't take them one day, I would probably end up quitting.  (I should find a babysitter who can just pop in for an hour a day--- but I don't really know many people in our town yet, and high schoolers/ college age kids are busy during the day!) Ugh, I feel like I'm making excuses- but it just seems like such a hassle!!!!

What we have struggled with in the past is Eating Out- primarily because keeping fresh groceries stocked up in our household seems to be difficult.  Jordan works long hours and going to the grocery store alone with 2 kids (a toddler and a baby) can be a horrible experience! (one just never knows, sometimes they are angels!)
It isn't always groceries either- at times I have a baby in my arms at 5:30 that is in the "I MUST be held mood."  That makes cooking difficult.  I sometimes strap her into the baby carrier and try to make supper anyways, but depending on what I am making- this can be dangerous, so I try to avoid it.  Okay.... so its just easier to text my husband and tell him to pick up Chinese or Mexican on his way home.

We are working on this...we are hoping to find some tricks to turn these struggles into successes!
IDEAS ARE WELCOME!! :)
