Workin' Out

Brittni's Workout 2.6-2.11
I started P90X this week.  After I complete today I will be done with my first week! However, I did miss a work out on Wednesday- So if I have time, I will try to fit something in on Sunday.


Brittni's workout 2.2.12 (1 mile)
1 mile of intervals on the treadmill and then core strength training.


Brittni's workout 2.1.12 (3miles)
3 mile run on treadmill


Brittni's workout 1.30.12 (4miles)
1 Mile on the elliptical, 3 mile run on the treadmill


Brittni's workout 1.26.12 (2miles)
Today I worked out on the elliptical, ran and did some strength training for my glutes/ hammys! I started on the elliptical and did intervals for 10 minutes, then ran for 12 minutes and then jumped back on the elliptical because I was annoyed that I didn't get a full mile in-in my first 10 minutes.  Then I just did a few leg curls...is that what they are called? IDK?! lol
FYI...Jordan works out Monday-Friday every week....he just neglects to update this blog!

No work out today---let's just assume that if I don't post a work out- I didn't have time to get one in.  Otherwise I might be posting "no work-out today" a lot!

I did ZUMBA RUSH today! (20 minute work-out to fit into the busy day!)
Jordan's Workouts
Sooo I'm alittle behind updating this:
Tuesday - Chest and Shoulders
Bench Press - Worked up to 245lbs for 4

Bench Press - 135lbs + 2 chains per side 3 sets of 8

Chain Press w/ Grenade ball - I take these grenade handles I bought from Elite FTS and hook them up to 2 large chains on each side then do basically a bench press with the chains. I do as many reps as I can get then do partial reps until I am spent. 3 sets

Side Lateral Raises w/ Chains - 3 sets of 8-10
Rear Delt Swings - one drop set - 45lb db's x 30, 25's x10, 10's x 10
No Cardio today

Wed - Cardio/ Conditioning
I did intervals on the treadmill - 6 sets of 1 minute walking followed by 1 minute at 10.5. 12 minutes total
Then I went to the gym and did the battling ropes for about 10-15 minutes - brutal

Thursday - Back
Back is my favorite bodypart to train

One Arm Barbell rows - 85lbs+the bar - 5 sets of 8 each arm

Modified Deadlifts - I put 225lb's on the bar then added 3 chains per side and did 5 sets of 6 with a shrug at the top of each rep.  As the chains lift of the ground the wieght gets heavier and heavier. These are brutal.

Incline rows with the chains and my grenade handles - 3 sets to failure with one big chain each arm

I JUST DID ZUMBA!! It was a little tricky because I had to get it done during Kobie's nap...which meant I had a toddler by my side...whom loves to dance!  She kept saying "no that's my spot...no that's my spot...well maybe THAT is my spot!" At least I broke a sweat and burned a few calories..eh.

Brittni's work out 1.17.12

No working out today... besides walking/ bouncing the baby to sleep :)  I do think my arms are going to get pretty buff lugging around an 18 lb baby though!

Today I walked laps with kobie trying to get her to sleep!! No time for a traditional work out. But yesterday I did 45 minutes of ZUMBA!!! That's right, I'm on the zumba band wagon! Although I feel like a complete idiot trying to do the hip shakin'- pelvic thrusting- Latin moves... I have to say it's a lot of fun and it goes by pretty quickly. Unfortunately I don't have a work out schedule due to the hectic life, but I'm working on getting a work out in whenever possible.

Jordan's Workout - 1-16-12

I hit my legs today and finished with some Jump Roping for conditioning

  • Leg Curls - 5 sets of 10 w/100lb's with short 20 second rest in between sets to get the blood flowing to my hamstrings
  • Leg Press - 6 sets of 6 with 450lbs
  • Straight Leg Deadlift - 2 sets of 10 w/ 225lb's. Really slow and squeezing my hamstrings on every rep
  • Lunges - 3 sets of 12 each leg with a 30lb chain around my neck
  • Jump Rope - 12 mintues - 1 minute on going as fast as possible followed by 1 minute of rest
